4 Shark EP Remixes released today!

After My Brightest Diamond finished up A Thousand Shark’s Teeth, she sat down with record label Asthmatic Kitty to talk remixes. It was then we all decided on a unique conceptual experiment: hand over the masters to our four favorite remixers and watch what happened. Needless to say we were impressed with the results. Alfred Brown turned over an EP of stellar avant-classical deconstruction of Teeth. Ryan Lott () decided take the original material in four entirely different and unique directions. Roberto C. Lange (of ) turned Teeth into something akin to a floating weather balloon hoisted by the warm air of informed Latin percussion. And took the songs by the hand and briskly walked them into the dark – and back out again. All told, twenty-two tracks, each one pulling back another layer of the music of My Brightest Diamond.

I flew to see your show in Portugal recently, superb. Most major artists play Dublin in Ireland because they tend to sell out repeatedly even though it is a small city, just if you are thinking about it. (I couldn’t believe there were free seats in Portugal). Good luck with your music, as if you need it!

Shark Remixes… graphics lovely to look at, music so beautiful to hear, yet sooo darn hard to remove the CDs from the package! Ack! Well, means they’ll just have to be permanently in my CD player… -K.
